Community Programs
Living Legacy”Plant a tree for one who comes after me.” This is our gift to future generations! Planting trees in various urban neighborhoods in Dallas for the past several years, as part of the group’s annual Living Legacy Initiative, which started at Odd Fellows lodges nationwide in 1989. The branches of the IOOF have planted over 8 million trees since the program’s inception.

Book DriveOne of our members started a book drive on behalf of Texas inmates. Part of the work involves matching up the requests with specific books and titles. So far we've sent hundreds of books to several prisons in the state.

Many of our members enjoy the fellowship of working as a team to help out with distribution of school supplies and bags of personal items for people without housing. It feels great to help in our community!

Every year Dallas Lodge #44 holds several events to raised funds for local organizations. Parades, garage sales and selling IOOF merchandise are just a few of the ways we make money – money we give away to charitable groups.
